Okay. I admit it. I’m not just a slacker in adding this post. I have written absolutely NOTHING!!!
NOTHING, I tell you. But, I did take two Sociology tests (I ended up with an A in the class – YEAH!!!).
I am moving this weekend and will start my summer semester on Tuesday. I HOPE to get some editing done on my chapters so I can send them in for the Maggies….
I wrote a total of 696 new words this week and incorporated them into an earlier draft for a total of 1,455 words created for my newest work – a sequel to my historical romance.
I’m Johnny come lately but I am so chuffed! I wanted to share that I wrote 9000 words in 2 weeks! I have a big reason for that but I’m glad it’s keeping me motivated. The only catch – my house is a mess and my “real job” keeps taking a back seat. I need to regroup before anybody notices :-D. But in the meantime, I have about 11k more words to go before finishing my novel.
I’m late in posting, but I was out of town on Friday. Congrats, Tami, on the A’s, but a big tsk,tsk on the lack of writing. I’m sure you’ll make up for it, though, in the days to come.
I didn’t ‘write’ five pages, as is my goal, but I did edit my synopsis and chap 1 for the Maggies. I’m going over it one more time for good measure and will mail it off to you on Tuesday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?
Awesome numbers! I’m very excited for you. You’re doing a great job and are very motivating for me.
I’ll definitely see you at the next meeting!!!
Hey Cici,
Way to go with the chapter and synopsis edit. If you are sending it in for the Paranormal category, I’ll be looking for it. You’ve got some great odds going for you. I’m hoping we get a few more numbers this week….
I’m almost finished moving, but I’ve been doing a LOT of thinking about a new story. I just have to finish the edits on my last one and get it to EVERYONE I said I would. (That would include you!!!! – grin-)
Hello all, Tamara DeStefano here, congrats to Tami for the A. That’s a big deal. Plus, great job to all of those who wrote this past week. Whether five words or five thousand, it’s good to hear people are getting words on the page even though they have lives outside of writing. I am late in posting, this week myself. I had a great writing week, thought FRi, Sat and Sun have suffered. No writing for three days. No excuse, just enjoying the weekend. But I intend on pounding those keys today. Luv to all, have a productive, creative week and do your best. Tamara
Hi all, Congratulations Tami on your A. I know how hard it to go to school and still work. That’s how I got my degree. It’s my first check-in. I met my goal of at least twelve pages a week, but still wished i could have done more. Now my challenge is to stay focused everyday this week. Pam Varnado
Hello, hello. This is the first time I’ve checked in in almost three weeks. I haven’t posted, but I have been writing. My goal had been two pages a day. For the most part I’ve reached and exceeded that objective. Some days, however, I didn’t even look at my computer. I reedited and finished a full manuscript recently, taking in mind the suggestions an editor had given me in a really nice rejection letter. So I plan on mailing that revision out to another editor who requested it tomorrow. Wish me luck ladies. To all of you out there juggling writing alongside children, marriage, a job or just every day trials of life, I commend you! Keep up the good work and believe that every sentence counts! Luv to all, Tamara DeStefano

Hey Tamara. Completely understandable about the weekend. I think most of us are in the same boat. Good luck this week….
Hi Pam. Thanks for the congrats. I started classes this week and am hoping to do as well. (Not sure though – they feel a lot tougher)
Congrats on making your goal. 12 pages is a lot… Keep up the great work.
