Concealed Carry
When a hot guy points a gun at her and demands to know the location of Alfred Hitchcock, Lisa Pasqualone doesn’t know whether to laugh or scream. But when she finds out Alfred Hitchcock is the cat she recently rescued and the gun she was afraid of is a paintball gun, she does know that life’s about to get really interesting.
The hero, Maxwell Collins, is an amazing, generous man who is either bailing out his younger brother or donating a kidney to his sister. To top all that, he owns his own landscape company. I could totally relate to Lisa and her friends watching the landscape crew outside their office window and drooling over those sexy as sin abs. When Max ultimately sets his sights on Lisa, the girl really doesn’t stand a chance.
Hildie McQueen has written a fun, fast paced story that keeps you reading until the very end. I like that there was a lot of miscommunications. Those little misunderstandings made the story that much lighter and easy to relate to. Because Ms. McQueen left us with an excellent hook at the end, I’m already looking to see what happens next for Max’s brother, Dean.
