Okay. This week, I organized my reader shelf. Or rather, reader bookshelf. I have a LOT of favorite authors whose books I love. Although I’ve been extremely busy, my favs’ are still writing and publishing books. I know I will eventually want to read those books when life finally slows down, so I buy them and set them aside. As you can see, I’ve accumulated quite a large collection of “to be read” books.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed whenever I look at the bookcase, I decided the only thing to do was to organize them. Surprisingly, I was able to cull a small box full to donate to my local Goodwill. It’s not that I didn’t like them (after all, why would I have bought them in the first place). No. My reason for getting rid of some is that I know that it’s going to take me a while to read through all of these. Along the way, I will be buying more to add to the collection. So, if the story didn’t reach out and hit me over the head with the desire to bury myself in the words, then it just didn’t make the cut.
Now I have to work out a schedule to decide which ones to start and when. But, I’ll have to do that later. Right now, I’m studying for two tests this week.
