I had no clue what to expect when my husband’s family took me to Trio during my first Outer Banks visit. I wasn’t all that excited about the idea of wine, but I loved cheese.
So I was all in.
But Trio has something that I had not seen before. Wine samples!
And several machines that allow you to try the various types, one ounce at a time.
I was so excited to grab my Trio card and give several of them a try.
I admit, my Trio experience is where I first experienced the different types and tastes of various wines. This was where I realized I actually loved many of them, while others did not make my “Try Again” list.
Over the years, we’ve been back several times to sample appetizers at the bar:

Trio is literally packed with an amazing variety of wines, ciders, and beers from all over the country.
If you find yourself in the Outer Banks, definitely mark Trio down as one of your “Must See” places. I know you won’t regret it!
