Saturday was our first GRW meeting for 2010 and what a day it was. I presented my first workshop to the group. It was a PRO Presentation titled, What I Wish I’d Known When I First Started Writing. If anyone is interested in reading it, you can find the complete 9 page workshop and 4 pages of Good-To-Know Links on the Articles page of my Website. I think it went pretty well. I did the full 30 minutes I was allotted, but I found myself reading from my cheat sheet way too much and going way too fast. I’m sure the more I do, the better I’ll get. I just hope I was able to touch someone and offer some new insight into the writing business.
Right after, my fellow Petit Fours and Hot Tamales blog sisters went over to Ruby Tuesdays to start the group meeting for our group. Here, everyone got the very first look at our new website that will be going live January 25th. We also went over a bunch of new stuff we have coming up. I’ll go more into that later.
Even with just this, it was a great day with great friends!!! Then, I was surprised with some really cool gifts. I’ve never been a part of a group like this and the only people I’ve ever received gifts from has been my family. So I can’t say how much I truly appreciate this. A BIG thank you to all of you.
I couldn’t help myself. I had to post pictures of the “booty” below.
My blog sister, Tamara DeStefano, drew this picture of me. Can you see the resemblance??? My hubby really liked it…grin… I LOVE it!!! This is definitely a picture I will cherish (and display) forever!!! Thank you, Tamara!!!!!!!!
This is a gift from all of my blog sisters!!!! I LOVE bracelets and this one is perfect! Joy, Peace and Love. Good words to live by. Thank you, ladies!!! I will always cherish this!
(Not pictures) I received a terrific gift card to Carrabba’s Italian Grill from my best and dearest friend, Maxine Davis. Brenda (Maxine) and I drive 130 miles each month together to attend these meetings. Together we share every part of this crazy journey, from the miles to the rejections (and hopefully one day to publication). For this and so many other things, I cannot thank Brenda enough!
My friend and blog helper, Tammy Schubert, got me this wonderful bath and lotion set. I am a huge fan and collector of scented lotions and bath products. Thank you, Tammy!!!

Very cool, Tami. You deserve all that look and so much more for all you do.
Wish I could have been there. 🙁
You make being a friend easy. 🙂 I’m so in awe of how much you accomplish and how creative you are. I’m the one who should be thanking you for inviting me to be a part of this crazy journey to publication with you at petitfoursandhottamales.com!
