After months of staying home due to this crazy pandemic, we had our first golf outing with a couple of our friends. We didn’t have our whole annual DT (Debauchery Tour - see our other Golf posts describing the group get-together) group together after we canceled our May Vegas trip, but thankfully (fingers crossed) we will see the whole group (all nine) in October in the Outer Banks. Still, five of us were able to get together for an amazing weekend in Smithville, TN.
We had a great time golfing at several courses, but we kept coming back to one in particular.

We’ve decided this is our Tennessee Home Course while we are at our friends’ lake house. :)
We had an incredible time during two previous rounds over the weekend at this course.
One round with the girls…
Another with just the guys…
But it wasn’t until our Memorial Day trip that our biggest memory of this course was made.
The guys had an incredible chauffeured experience in the boat.
The normal drive time (by car) was 45 + minutes. But the boat ride was less than 8 minutes (not counting the time to get the boat ready). Plus, this really was SUPER COOL!!!
The course manager came by bright and early to pick up the guys from the dock.
Then he dropped them back by after their round.
This seriously was an experience that was out of this world!
Who else gets the opportunity to arrive by boat and play their round of golf?
For anyone else who might want to experience this same opportunity, give them a call and arrange for the lake experience. Others can arrange for a condo on sight for a “stay and play” experience.
All in all, The River Watch Golf Club made our first golf weekend of the year incredible. Big thanks to River Watch for accommodating our group.
Cheers!
