This past week was pretty long. I know I didn’t say much last Monday, but that was because I was dealing with the loss of our dog and recovering from a very active week.
First of all, our dog Bailey finally succumbed to a Thyroid condition she has been battling. After 13 years of having her in our lives, it was very hard to let her go. What was the hardest to deal with was that she died while we were on vacation. I feel terrible that I wasn’t there to be with her, but I’m also glad that I didn’t have to deal with those last days. My father-in-law was the trooper who took her to the vet for us and I thank him from the bottom of my heart. Here she is in the picture below. (our kitten is very lost without her….)
Okay, out with the sad and in with the fun stuff. Disney was awesome (although five days of very active walking after 7 weeks of relaxing after my surgery almost killed me!!!). My favorite ride was the Tower of Terror at MGM Hollywood Studios…
My second favorite ride was the Rockin’ Roller Coaster (also at MGM). At Magic Kingdome, I loved the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain (Oh, can’t forget Pirates of the Caribbean….). At Epcot, loved Mission Space and Test Track. At Animal Kingdom, really enjoyed Dinosaurs and Expedition Everest.
Aside from my favorites, I LOVED it all…. Disney is one of my favorite places on earth. If you haven’t had a chance to go, please try to plan a trip. I know most of the rides are cheesy, but come one!!! Where else do you get to be a kid again???
