One of my favorite things about the Manchester Christmas Market was the mulled wine. Yummo!
I truly loved grabbing one of these hot, steaming cups while walking around the market. It helped that it was cold as heck every night, too. :)
I have seriously tried to recreate this drink the past two Christmases since returning home. And, I have failed miserably.
I’m sure I will eventually find a recipe I like. Until then, I’m thankful we also discovered an amazing tea shop when we stopped in London for two days on our way home from Manchester.
The day we stopped at the shop, I tasted the mulled wine instant version and fell in love with it. It was one of the many things I grabbed as my London souvenirs.
Photo taken from the Whittard website since I am currently out of the instant version.
When I returned home, the one container I bought did not last long. Thankfully, Whittard Chelsea is on-line. Within a month, I was ordering another two containers.

Since then, I’ve branched out and tried several other teas and eventually grabbed this loose leaf version of the mulled wine tea.
Again, yummo! Where the instant version is a lot sweeter, I am able to control the sweetness of the loose leaf version by adding my own sweetener. Fruity (cherry or strawberry?) and a light tea flavor.
If you haven’t tried mulled wine or even the mulled wine tea version, you are truly missing out. I highly recommend you find a recipe or jump on-line and grab one of these amazing teas for yourself.
Cheers!
