SUMMER WRITING CHALLENGE
It’s check in day!
We are still at five people in the challenge. If you know of someone else who might be interested in participating, shoot them a note and have them post a comment in the comments section. The more the merrier… I’m hoping to have a few more people willing to join after the GRW meeting this weekend….
So, how have you all done this week?

Hey guys,
If you are new to the writing challenge, you are more than welcome to put your updates and even your pledge under the current weeks challenge. I completely missed a couple of people who posted under some of the older posts.
If you get a chance, look at the comments under the older Writing Challenge posts and wish our new participants well….
Welcome to the group Pam. We wish you the best….
It has been a productive week in my house and I’ve totally lost count on how much writing and revising I’ve done. It’s gone so well that I may even get my unpublished Maggie entry completed. (Granted, if I don’t finish it, I won’t be able to look Rita Herron in the eye for a while.)
One philosophical question, if I may. Yesterday, I resubmitted a query to an agent that I originally queried over six months ago. (My letter’s totally different now.) That agency holds the speed record for rejecting my work, having sent me an e-mail by 9:30 a.m. on the morning they received my query. I have made it through one complete day without hearing from them. That means there are three possibilities.
1) They really like it and are actually considering the project.
2) I was at the top of the slush pile last time and am at the bottom of it this time.
3) Screener left on an early Memorial Day vacation.
Have a great weekend!
Just think this, Walt… At least you are out there submitting…
Some of us (and I mean me!!!) should be submitting. Instead, I’m dragging my feet.
Best of luck on this. I hope you receive good news.
Tami
I;m now at two days with no response. I vote for the early Memorial Day weekend. As for you, moving, selling a house, nd finishing exams ALL AT THE SAME TIME comes under one of the excuses that you postpone writing a little.
Early Memorial Day weekends are GOOD!!!! Maybe this one will be the one!!!
My husband did remind me that we tend to take on too much sometimes. I just wish my writing didn’t have to take the back burner. But, right now, it is the most practical thing in my life to reside there Darn it…
Good luck with the submission…..
