This week I read High Octane by Lisa Renee Jones. This Blaze book was “super sexy” with a former Army special forces soldier turned jumpmaster and a straight-laced journalist who is hiding her political upbringing. Fireworks erupt when the couple first meet with the heroine is trying to talk herself into taking a tandem jump. I was hooked with this wild card soldier the moment he took the initiative and started pursuing the heroine. When someone starts stalking Sabrina, this only fuels Ryan’s need to keep her close, whether she likes it or not.
I LOVED this story from the moment I picked it up. I was hooked with the skydiving setting because the second book I wrote was based around a heroine learning to skydive. This was a fast paced story that kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. Ms. Jones also reeled me in me with the secondary characters. I have already downloaded the first book in the Hot Zone series, Jump Start (out last month) and have Breathless Descent on my to buy list for April. I definitely recommend this story.
I just started reading The Guy Next Door with Lori Foster, Susan Donovan and Victoria Dahl. I picked this book because I LOVE Lori Foster. The other two authors are new to me, but I recognize a few books from their websites (although I haven’t read any of them yet). This book has three different stories based on romance and spring break. With spring break just around the corner, I can’t wait to dive into this one.
That’s me this week. What are you reading?
