And we have a winner! I checked both posts, here and at Under the Tiki Hut. It was a tough decision, but I made The Kid pick a number then calculated who that might be.
Drumroll please…………….. Ciara!………………….. Woohoo! I’ll send Ciara a message off-line.
Thanks a ton to everyone for stopping by and making this a fun release day. You guys rock!!!
Warm sand, cool ocean waters and a honeymoon. What could be better?
This week is the official publishing debut of my short story, Drool Worthy. Originally posted during an October Treasure Hunt on the Petit Fours and Hot Tamales group blog in 2009, the story lay dormant for two years. I found it again when I was cleaning out the various files on my computer. With Halloween fast approaching and a Halloween wedding featured in the story, I couldn’t think of a better book to use as my intro into the Indie Publishing world.
Blurb:
Marianne Michaels is thrilled with the opening of her own bakery and the popularity it has quickly gained. When she’s asked to bake the wedding cake and pastries for one of the wealthiest families in the county, she knows she’s made it.
The day she passes up the chance to network her fledgling business at a pre-wedding Alexander party, she catches the eye of the bride’s brother, Jason Alexander. Can the quiet pastry chef actually crack the aloof façade of a man who has turned down every pass thrown his way since moving back to town?
To see how all this plays out with Marianne and Jason, download a free copy of Drool Worthy over at Smashwords.
Leave a comment on either blog post (here or at Under the Tiki Hut) and name at least one of the pastries mentioned in Drool Worthy for a chance at a $10 Starbucks gift card.
I’ll leave you with a view of the display case at my favorite pastry shop (Daylight Donuts) and a shot of my favorite treat, the Rosette. Mmmmmmm… My mouth is watering already. I might have to take a trip across town and grab myself another one.
Enjoy!
